THERE IS NO RELIGION GREATER THAN A STRONGER PERSON PROVIDING A SHOULDER FOR THE WEAKER ONES TO LEAN — Prof Ben Ayade

Director General of Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Betta Edu has taken pressure off over 2000 secondary school students and primary school pupils in Adadama, Abi Local Government Area of Cross River State by providing over 3000 writing materials and offsetting their tuition fees with other charges Presentations were made at a brief event held at Community Commercial Secondary School, Adadama.

She said the community had been beseech with war and alot of people injured,  thousands have been killed by people from Ebonyi State over boundary issues as Economic growth of the community have drastically gone down due to this crisis.

Dr Edu said “my support today is not political, this is about my passion to save lives and preserving the future generations. I have been offering free health outreaches and paying fees for people of Adadama before I can into Government. I will continue to do my much even after holding political office. Responding on behalf of the community, the Clan Head of Ibalebo, His Royal Highness, Eval Lawrence Emori said the scholarship award will help in taking away the burden from parents who struggle to pay school fees for their wards even when such parents lack the capacity to pay the fees.

He commended the Governor, Speaker and the DG for also stopping by to inspect the newly renovated health centre which according to him will served the community to the fullest and prevent maternal death.

Eval Emori said the support of Adadama is intact for the Governor and their son, the Speaker comes 2019 general elections.

Reacting to the development, one of the Head Teacher Mrs Grace Ebong commended the DG for her philanthropic gesture to the schools, assuring that they will live up to expectation by bequeathing academic excellence to the students.

This will be helpful for those who may not understand ideological systems of ruling. Here is simplified:

SOCIALISM: You have two cows, and you give one to your neighbor.

COMMUNISM: You have two cows, the government takes both and gives you milk.

FASCISM: You have two cows, the government takes both and sells you milk.

NAZISM: You have two cows, the government takes them and kills you.

CAPITALISM: You have two cows, you sell one and buy a male. You multiply your cows and there is economic growth. You sell them, you retire and you live on your profits.

MODERN CAPITALISM: You have two cows, you sell one and buy a male. You multiply your cows and you buy those of your neighbors. Then your neighbors become your shepherds, you pay them in monkey currencies and they die poor.

AMERICAN SOCIETY: You have two cows, you sell one and you have to make the other one to produce milk like 4 cows. By stress of producing beyond her capacity, she dies. You hire a consultant to understand this death.

FRENCH SOCIETY: You have two cows, you go on strike because you want a third cow.

GERMAN SOCIETY: You have two cows, you modify them so that they live 100 years, eat once a month and take care of themselves.

CHINESE SOCIETY: You have two Cows , you sell Milk to your compatriots and you produce Plastic Milk to Export to the rest of the world. You become Rich.

BLACK/ AFRICAN SOCIETY: You have two Cows , you eat them all in one month, and You Dream that Donors or the International community give you more Cows. When that doesn't happen, you go to a Church or Mosque and hope for miracle Cows. You fast 30 or 40 days  without eating or drinking so that the Cows will fall from Heaven, sometimes forgetting to even pray for Salvation . At last You Die in extreme Poverty and may not make Heaven

At the time of ObatalaThe King,
Three people came to him dragging a young man with them and said to him:
Kabiyesi!!!
This man has murdered our father.

Obatala: Why did you kill their father?

Young man: I'm a goatherd. My goat ate from their father's farm, and he threw a stone at my goat and it died; so I also took the stone and threw it at their father and he also died.

Obatala: Because of this, I pass judgment on your charge of  murder by sentencing you to death.

The Young man said:
I ask for 3 days before you execute the judgment. My late father left me some wealth and I have a sister to take care of. If you kill me now, the wealth and my sister will have no guardian.

Obatala: Who will stand for your bail?

Young man: Looking into the crowd, he pointed at Lamurudu.

Obatala asked: Do you agree to stand for him, Lamurudu?

Lamurudu answered, Beeni (yes).

Obatala enquired further: You agree to stand for someone you don't know, and if he doesn't return you'll receive his penalty.

Lamurudu answered: I accept.

The young man left but after two days, and into the third day there was still no sign of him.

Everyone was very afraid for Lamurudu who had accepted to receive the penalty of death if the man failed to return.

Just before it was time for dinner,  the Goat Herdsman  appeared looking very exhausted and he stood before Obatala.

The Young man spoke up: I have handed the wealth and the welfare of my sister to my uncle and I am back to receive the penalty. You may execute the penalty now.

In great shock and surprise, Obatala said: And why did you return after having a chance to escape the death penalty?

Young man: *I was afraid, it will appear that humanity has lost integrity and the ability to fulfill promises kept".*

Obatala turned and looked at Lamurudu and asked him:  And why did you stand for him?

Lamurudu responded: *I was afraid, it might appear that humanity have lost the will to do good to others."*

These words and events moved the brothers who had  wanted justice for their father's death very deeply and they decided to forgive the young goat herdsman.

In furious anger, Obatala asked "Why?!!!"

They said: *We are afraid, it will appear as though forgiveness has lost place in the heart of humanity.*

I have also forwarded this beautiful message and passed it to you in fear that *it might appear that reminders towards doing good has lost place in humanity if I don't.*

For God's sake I encourage you to also pass it on, in fear that *it might appear that  spreading the good message has lost place in humanity.*

TESTIMONY - INFERTILITY & FIBROID

I just got a phone call that has made me so excited. I am trying to calm down so that I can type this properly.

My name is Dr. Minda, based in Abuja.

Few weeks ago, a man from Enugu, Chibuke contacted me. He said he saw a testimony I shared on CELLGEVITY and Infertility. He and his wife are currently undergoing treatment for infertility. He asked me if CELLGEVITY can help them. I told him it will but he was not convinced. So he decided to get just 2 bottles for a start to see how it goes.

Few minutes ago I got a call from an unknown number. A man introduced himself as Dr. Nnamene, a Radiologist/Sonographer from Enugu. He said he got my number from Chibuke whose wife is undergoing management for fibroid.

I did not know Chibuke's wife has fibroid because he only told me they were having infertility issues. So it took a few seconds for me to realize who the Radiographer was talking about.

Dr. Nnamene said he just scanned the wife and noticed significant reduction in the size of the fibroid tumor. And when he asked, Chibuke told him about CELLGEVITY and he knew he had to contact me instantly. He is totally shocked and wanted to know more about the supplement. He said he has never seen such in his practice.

We ended the call after he promised to give my number to his other patients. He told me to expect their phone calls soon.

I am glad that CELLGEVITY is making dreams a reality for individuals and families.

Remarks
By
Chief Olusegun Obasanjo
On The Visit of PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, to Abeokuta
October 11, 2018
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am happy to welcome the distinguished leaders of goodwill who have led the PDP Presidential Candidate and my former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, to my humble abode and I welcome the Presidential Candidate himself.
Let me start by congratulating President-to-be, Atiku Abubakar, for his success at the recent PDP Primary and I took note of his gracious remarks in his acceptance speech that it all started here.
Yes, when it started, it was meant for Atiku to succeed Obasanjo.  In the presence of these distinguished leaders of goodwill today, let me say it openly that we have reviewed what went wrong on the side of Atiku.  And in all honesty, my former Vice-President has re-discovered and re-positioned himself.  As I have repeatedly said, it is not so much what you did against me that was the issue but what you did against the Party, the Government and the country.
I took the stand I had taken based on the character and attributes you exhibited in the position you found yourself.  I strongly believe that I was right. It was in the overall interest of everyone and everything to take such a position.
From what transpired in the last couple of hours or so, you have shown remorse; you have asked for forgiveness and you have indicated that you have learnt some good lessons and you will mend fences and make amends as necessary and as desirable.
Whenever or wherever you might have offended me, as a Christian who asks for God’s forgiveness of my sins and inadequacies on daily basis, I forgive and I sincerely advise you to learn from the past and do what is right and it will be well with you.  Obviously, you have mended fences with the Party and fully reconciled with the Party.  That’s why today, you are the Presidential Candidate of the Party.  In addition to appreciating all that the Party has done for you, may I advise you to work together with all those who contested for the Party’s flag with you as a team for your campaign.
There are still areas, nationally and internationally, where you have to mend fences and make amends.  You will know how to handle what is already out and what may yet be put out by the opposition.  But, I am convinced that if you continue with the attitude that brought you here with these distinguished leaders of goodwill, with remorse and contrite heart, the rest of the coast within and outside the country can be cleared.  And if there is anything I can do and you want me to do in that respect, I will do.
I am sure with the right attitude for change where necessary, and by putting lessons learned by you to work, you will get the understanding, cooperation, support and mandate -  all at the national level.  With Nigerians voting for you, it will mean that you secure their forgiveness and regain their confidence. It will be with the hope or assurance of a Paul on the road to Damascus Conversion. After all, change and conversion are of man. I believe that with a contrite heart, change is possible in everybody’s life and situation.
For me, relatively and of all the aspirants in the PDP, you have the widest and greatest exposure, experience, outreach and possibly the best machinery and preparation for seeing the tough and likely dirty campaign ahead through. From what I personally know of you, you have capacity to perform better than the incumbent. You surely understand the economy better; you have business experience, which can make your administration business-friendly and boost the economy and provide jobs.
You have better outreach nationally and internationally and that can translate to better management of foreign affairs.  You are more accessible and less inflexible and more open to all parts of the country in many ways.  As Pastor Bakare, one-time running mate of the incumbent President said, “You are a wazobia man.”  And that should help you in confronting the confrontable and shunning nepotism.
As you know, along the road to where you are today, many leaders and ordinary people cooperated and overtly and covertly worked hard.  On your behalf, I thank them all.  May their coast continue to be expanded.  And when you become Nigerian President which, insha-Allah, you will be, remember what we did together in government – we ran an administration by Nigerians for all Nigerians where merit and performance count more than blood relationship, friendship or kith and kin.  Although some time and ground have been lost, you should endeavour to start from where we stopped and recover some lost ground, if not time.
Please uphold truth, integrity, principles, morality and fight corruption, crimes and insurgency.  The fundamental law of the land, our constitution must be scrupulously defended. I make one demand and one demand on you today, I need you to say before God and man that you will always remain irrevocably committed to upholding ALL the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the whole country will remain your single indivisible constituency.
Constitutionalism, popular participation and inclusiveness are pre-conditions for reversing the deficits of the past three and half years. They will ensure abiding faith in our indivisibility, oneness and faith in the survival of all against none.
The fundamentals for our development, economic growth and progress are hard and soft infrastructure.  Remember to always give adequate places in your administration to our youth and women.
All the authorities involved with the preparation, all processes and conduct of the election must ensure that the election is free, fair and credible.
Once again, congratulations and I wish you well.  My distinguished brothers and leaders of goodwill, thank you for making this happen.  I will now count on you to encourage all hands to be on the deck to take Nigeria to the level God has created it to be – autopilot level.
God bless you all and God bless Nigeria.

NIGERIA: THE 58 YEARS OLD IMBECILE

Frank Adie writes from Abuja

October 1st is here again; and as we all know, it is a remarkable day in the history of our nation. Fifty eight (58) years ago on this date, our country Nigeria was released from the cell of colonial rule and oppression. On that fateful date, in that year of our Lord (1960), jubilation permeated every facet of this nation as men and women took to the streets to celebrate the birth of an independent nation: Nigeria. Today, our country is still a child at 58.

Back to the title of this piece, retardation, lack of initiative, inertia, suggestibility, lostness in a new environment etc. are features associated with imbecility, and these things are prevalent in our country as a nation.

At 58, the ‘imbecile’ called Nigeria has advanced in age, but has remained retarded economically. Like a typical imbecile, it is yet to develop a viable economic initiative or blueprint that has the potential of getting it out of the doldrums. As a matter of fact, our hope for development as a people has never been as bleak as it is today. If this must change, we must have to do something.

According to President Donald Trump “If the righteous many do not confront the wicked few, then evil will triumph. When decent people in a nation become bystanders to history, the forces of destruction only gather power and strength”.

As we decide who becomes our captain come 2019, we must revolutionize our perspective and embrace a new and positive way of deciding who we vote into power. Nigeria needs a leader who has the economic and political wherewithal required to manage this ‘imbecilic adult’ in order to show her the way out of the wilderness of the ‘economic Kadesh Barnea’ in which she has been going around for 58 years.

God bless Nigeria.
